Overview
Mapsea Connect is a global real-time ship monitoring B2B system that helps shipping companies manage their fleets more safely and efficiently. Key features include route planning and monitoring to ensure vessels stay on course. I designed a route import function that lets users easily upload previously managed routes, improving usability by streamlining the process. The solution has been adopted by Incheon Port Authority and Keoyoung Shipping.

Improve work efficiency by reducing route creation time
Problem
Users had to manually select points or enter route data, often re-entering files in a specific CSV format, which reduced efficiency.
Hypothesis
Introducing "import capabilities" that utilize existing CSVs will enable faster and more efficient route management.
Result & impact
- Creation speed was reduced from an average of
960 seconds to 08 seconds.
- Incheon Port Authority and Korea's Geoyoung Shipping have introduced and used this solution because it support various file formats (JRC, Fruno, Transas, MECys, etc.) used by various shipping companies.
- This product is an innovation award-winning product of ces2025.
